Last weekend, some of our OCs undertook an RYA First Aid course. Thank you so much to our brilliant instructor and well done to all OCs who took part!

This week, A/Mid Best, OC Thomas and A/2nd Lt Mitchell were invited to a recruiting fair at Matravers School There was great engagement from all students. They were also joined by Bristol UOTC and assisted by the CCF. BZ to all involved!

Last Thursday, URNU Solent had the privilege of welcoming Bravo Sqn to their drill night to teach OCs about explosive ordnance disposal, with OCs even getting to use some of the cutting edge equipment! A big thank you to Bravo Sqn for such an engaging evening. * * * #URNU

This afternoon we were kindly hosted by Poole Harbour Lifeboat Station for a tour of their facilities. We were joined by the CO and XO of HMS PURSUER where we are staying for the week. Thank you to RNLI Poole Lifeboats for this unique learning opportunity. #royalnavy #URNU #uni

Last week, URNU Solent OCs embarked on HMS PURSUER for sea-time. They engaged in man-overboard drills, seamanship, and a lot of cooking! Thank you to the whole crew and accompanying staff for being so welcoming and supportive. A great time was had by all!

Recently URNU Solent visited Gibraltar. Whilst there, they had historical briefs from OCs, visits to the caves, undertook watersports and sailing at the naval base and had a fireside chat with Cdr British Forces Gibraltar. It made for an amazing trip. Thank you to all involved.

URNU Solent took a break from university exams last weekend to take on a 25km South Downs walk. Thank you to everyone for pushing through to the end, and to our newly appointed Senior Midshipman, A/Mid Jenkin, for organising the event (and a curry dinner afterwards)!
