In the Large School title game between #3 Dexter and #5 Kent, the two sides traded tallies — 24 seconds apart — in the first period. Kent's Gio DiGiulian scored a five-hole goal on the rush, then Dexter sophomore Matthew Hines got a favorable re-direction that tied the game.

Dexter kept the pressure on in the second, outshooting Kent 13-7 for the period, but nobody scored. Both goaltenders — Dexter sophomore Colin Davis (10/11) and Kent senior Aiden Hopewell (30/31) — have been up to the task. Tied at 1-1 after two frames.

Kent senior Gio DiGiulian — a Cornell recruit — scored his second goal of the day with 47 seconds left, breaking a 2-2 tie with #3 Dexter and lifting #5 Kent to its third Large School title in five seasons.

#2 Kimball Union boasts UNH recruit Jack Sadowski — USHR's Player of the Year. The senior figured into both first period goals — scoring once and assisting on another — in the Elite 8 title game against #1 Cushing. KUA leads 2-0 after the first.
