The USS Midway Museum has been awarded a $3M grant from the James M. Cox Foundation for Freedom Park at Burnham Navy Pier. The Barbara Cox Promenade will honor military families & feature a bronze statue of Barbara Cox, who—as a Navy widow—christened the USS Midway in 1945.
