Today, we are highlighting author Elizabeth Acevedo, born in New York City, and her powerful book “Inheritance.” Acevedo focuses on the young adult genre.
Today, we are highlighting the talented author Eric Velasquez, born in New York City, who focuses on children’s literature. His book “Grandma’s Gift” beautifully captures the essence of family and heritage through engaging storytelling and vibrant illustrations.
Today, we are highlighting the author Willie Perdomo, born in 1965 in New York City, and his book “Clemente". Perdomo primarily focuses on the genre of poetry, often reflecting on the experiences of Puerto Rican Americans and their narratives.
In our final highlight, we celebrate Saraciea J. Fennell, born in the Dominican Republic, whose work primarily focuses on young adult literature that explores themes in her anthology “Wild Tongues Can’t Be Tamed.”
