Bees may be small, but their impact is massive. Saving bees isn't just about the environment. It's about economic justice. Food security. Health. And sustainability. UECO

We found this old mango tree at Kituntu opharnage P/S. Someone, many years ago, chose to plant this mango tree not for themselves, but for generations they would never meet. At UECO, we continue to believe in this vision. Every tree planted, it's all for a better tomorrow. UECO

Good morning, everyone. Just a thought from UECO: we believe one of the best solutions to protect our environment and achieve net zero is to plant more trees. Plant more trees, please. UECO

When you support the growth of fruiting and flowering trees, bees help create healthy forest ecosystems rich, biodiverse environments that are home to countless animal species. UECO

Uganda has >1,000 bird species (~half of Africa's!). Home to endemic birds & a stopover for migrants from Europe, Asia & Africa. Choose organic farming to protect birds' food sources. Benefits of organic go far beyond words. Be organic for birds, nature & our future

Agriculture remains one of the leading drivers of deforestation. But what if it could become part of the solution? When you visit our demonstration farm, you’ll see how agroforestry can turn farming into a tree-saving, climate-smart practice. UECO

Sustainable agriculture plays a vital role in conserving our planet’s biodiversity. A farm or garden that embraces diversity and rejects monoculture becomes a safe haven for nature. Integrating trees and crops is a key solution. UECO.

Your garden/ farm shouldn't be a killing zone for biodiversity. Organic farming boosts biodiversity by avoiding harmful pesticides and fertilizers. It supports bees, butterflies, soil microbes, and natural pest predators. Protecting wildlife starts with how we grow our food.

After you have picked your right tree/ right location, it is time to plant. To keep your tree healthy and give it the best chance of survival, make sure to plant according to the guide in this infographic. UECO

The African Thrush is one of the most common birds found in our gardens here. It spends most of its time on the ground, and if your garden is a killing zone sprayed with chemicals all over, you definitely won’t see it. Watch the video to see it feeding on its prey. Mugogo

Don't throw litter everywhere. As you know, littering has negative consequences for the environment and public health, including water and air pollution, harm to wildlife, and the spread of disease. Just a reminder: when you see any of these logos, respect them UECO.

Meet Grevillea robusta Though not native to Uganda, it has been cultivated in the country for many years and has proven to be a valuable agroforestry tree. Today, it is recognized as a naturalized exotic species with no reported negative interactions between the tree and crops.

The moment you enrich your soil naturally, you’ll begin to see positive changes trees will grow, crops will thrive, and flowers will bloom, providing nectar for bees, food for birds, and habitats for biodiversity. Enrich your soil, but do it the natural way. Be organic. UECO

We should embrace ecological succession as a model for improving the soil. If you are into regenerative agriculture, you’ll know that everything revolves around healthy soil. Soil rich in nutrients, organic matter, and beneficial microorganisms supports healthy plant growth.
