Yesterday at Evensong, in the absence of the Dean (on an ecumenical pilgrimage to Cologne) I had the privilege of admitting four new choristers to Liverpool Cath Choir before the Introit. All under the curious gaze of our 42 probationers, new recruits being inducted into divine service.

Feel overwhelmed by how refugees are being treated in the UK? The Nationality & Borders Act. The Rwanda scheme. Banning people from claiming asylum if they cross the Channel... It's a lot🤯 So. Time for some reasons to be cheerful 🥳✨ A thread... #MondayMotivation

Children need their parents. As #Christmas approaches, we're thinking of the refugee children separated from their mums and dads because of the UK's unfair family reunion rules. 💔 RT if you believe families belong together. #FamiliesTogether

For those just discovering the profound evil of the Post Office scandal courtesy of last night’s excellent ITV drama, I wrote a piece for The Fence Magazine’s newsletter last year on its links to managerialism and the Church of England.
