I had a wonderful day back in @PhysAstroStAnd! I felt unexpectedly nervous giving a seminar about AION atom interferometry detector with so many of my undergrad lecturers in the audience, but really enjoyed all the discussions and lab tours - thanks so much for having me!

Just arrived in Leiden and was given a science walking tour booklet at reception - they must be used to scientists visiting! 👩🏼‍🔬

Lovely workshop dinner and boat tour this evening, it was a perfect break in the middle of the week! But I wish I’d brought a hat - perhaps should have realised a country famous for windmills 🇳🇱 might be windy…

I’ve loved the space provided by Lorentz Center for the quantum sensing workshop this week - our own offices for small meetings and quiet working, and tea, coffee and snacks all day in a common room with blackboard space. So great for collaboration and informal discussions!

I had an amazing time today giving a presentation for the #BQIT tutorial day QET Labs Bristol - a super engaged audience and brilliant questions! Such a great idea to have a day for students to meet each other and learn topics in more depth before the conference.

I’m not sure there’s anything more satisfying than beating the National Rail estimate for crossing London by underground and (just!) making an earlier train than planned 😄
