ā€œEvery conversation I have these days involves name, image and likeness,ā€ said Coyle. Apparently cutting sports is over to him. Not to us. A colossal POS kare11.com/article/sports…

We tried to meet University of Minnesota Alumni Association Asked Lisa Lewis to help us broker a meeting with the then president No response not saying we should have track alumni show up to everything UMAA does and only ask about why they were cowards to help reinstatement, but they have earned it

Note that the UpdMN men do not compete in indoor track because football has >100 members on the team and no women’s team can counteract those numbers so they decided to cut men’s track indoor to compensate. HOPEFULLY it eventually changes back

Men’s sports have been cut for future proofing department because of rising costs due to this. Department paying all players means there will be fewer players. Give you guess which sports are impacted. šŸƒā€ā™‚ļø šŸƒā€ā™€ļø

A Twin Cities Business top 100 person is UMN Regent Janie Mayeron - ? Remember that she was the swing vote at UMN to cut the sports teams, she wanted Outdoor Men’s Track kept because of the bad PR of cutting so many black athletes. She was fine cutting indoor track. tcbmag.com/tcb-100-people…

Column on my conversation with Gophers AD Mark Coyle about how his department will fund the $21 million annual payout to athletes in new revenue sharing system if NCAA settlement gains approval.

Seeing University of Minnesota Minnesota Cross Country, Track & Field men do so well at the NCAA Track & Field championships thus far is heartwarming. It means that all our work to save the team in 2020 was worth it. My goal was to help that kid whose name I would never know. Years later, I can say that I have. saveGophertf

Men’s football Men’s basketball Men’s hockey Volleyball Women’s basketball Every student has to pay for them. But oh no, we can’t find money to literally flip the lights on to reinstate men’s indoor track. šŸ™„šŸ™„ startribune.com/new-u-student-…
