🌱 Final sowing done at our FDF site near Port Pirie! 7 TOS since April (bar one week). Still not wet enough to germinate, but improving. Trial aims to see how long seed can sit in saline soil before vigour drops. Hoping for rain this weekend! 🌧️ #agriculture #drysowing

Thanks to Stefan for sowing the TOS 2 of UNFS’s SAGIT funded, GRDC co-funded frost trial. This trial has a green zone and a red zone to compare frost impact. Big thank you to Pete Kitsche for the use of his paddock, trials aren't possible without farmer support.

We’ve installed eTemperature loggers at our SAGIT + GRDC frost trial site to track canopy temp every 6 mins. With 3 in each zone, they help us detect frost events that weather stations can miss, giving us better insight into what’s happening in the crop.
