And there would I rest, and lie, My chin in my hands, and gaze At the dazzle of sand below, And the green waves curling slow, And the grey-blue distant haze Where the sea goes up to the sky… ~A.A.Milne #ThursdayThoughts

Pooh sat down and thought. “I have been Foolish and Deluded,” said he, “and I am a Bear of No Brain at All.” “You’re the Best Bear in All the World,” said Christopher Robin soothingly. “Am I?” said Pooh hopefully. And he brightened up suddenly. ~A.A.Milne #fridaymorning

Eeyore came close to Pooh, and said in a loud whisper: “Could you ask your friend to do his exercises somewhere else? I shall be having lunch directly, and don’t want it bounced on before I begin. A trifling matter, and fussy of me, but we all have our little ways.” ~A.A.Milne

I have a house where I go When there’s too many people, I have a house where I go Where no one can be; I have a house where I go, Where nobody ever says “No” Where no one says anything - so There is no one but me. ~A.A.Milne #SundayMotivation

“There is a joy of childhood which one can never recapture - the joy of getting wet in the sea. A doctor said that salt water couldn’t give you a cold. Whether this was true or not I do not know, but it was splendid and added much to the joys of the seaside.” ~A.A.Milne #heatwave

Eeyore stood by himself and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, “Why?” and sometimes he didn’t know what he was thinking. So when Pooh came stumping along, Eeyore was very glad to be able to stop thinking for a little. ~A.A.Milne #tuesdaymotivations

Pooh, his back against one of the trees, and his paws folded in front of him, said “Oh!” and “I didn’t know,” and thought how wonderful it would be to have a Real Brain which could tell you things. He shook his head, and said to himself, “I’m not getting it right.” ~A.A.Milne

Christopher Robin was going away. Nobody knew why he was going; nobody knew where he was going; but somehow or other everybody felt it was happening at last. Even Smallest-of-All, a friend-and-relation of Rabbit, told himself that Things were going to be Different. ~A.A.Milne

“Dear, dear,” said Pooh, “I didn’t know it was as late as that. Lucky I brought this with me. Many a bear going out on a warm day like this would never have thought of bringing a little something.” And he began to eat. Then he remembered. He had eaten Eeyore’s present! ~A.A.Milne

Pooh wiped his mouth with the back of his paw, and sang rather a fluffy song through the fur. Coming through pale fawn fluff at half-past eleven on a very sunny morning, it seemed to Pooh to be one of the best songs he had ever sung. So he went on singing it. ~A.A.Milne #sunny

They were all playing Poohsticks together. They had dropped their sticks in when Rabbit said “Go!” and then they had hurried across to the other side of the bridge, and now they were all leaning over the edge, waiting to see whose stick would come out first. ~A.A.Milne

They all went home again. And I think, but I am not quite sure, that Roo had a hot bath and went straight to bed. But Pooh went back to his own house, and feeling very proud of what he had done, had a little something to revive himself. ~A.A.Milne #TimeForALittleSomething

“It is the little close-up things that a child sees most clearly. I remember daisies, wild daisies, not white as they seem to be to grown-ups, but pink; and I have only to pick one now and turn it over to see again the daisies of my childhood.” ~C.R.Milne #SaturdayMotivation

“I can face the winter with calm. Crisp and sparkling days, long pleasant evenings, cheery fires. Good work shall be done this winter. Life shall be lived well. The end of the summer is not the end of the world. Here’s to October.” ~A.A.Milne #nature

“Most of us have small, sad places in our hearts. My father felt deeply but kept his feelings to himself. Or rather, being a writer, he let them escape in his writing. And so such sadnesses as there were put on cap and bells and emerged as Eeyore.”~C.R.Milne #WorldMentalHealthDay

“Help, help!” cried Piglet, “a Heffalump, a Horrible Heffalump!” and he scampered off as hard as he could, still crying out, “Help, help, a Herrible Hoffalump! Hoff, Hoff, a Hellible Horralump! Holl, Holl, a Hoffable Hellerump!” ~A.A.Milne #Halloween2022

The next day was quite a different day. Instead of being hot and sunny, it was cold and misty. Pooh didn’t mind for himself, but when he thought of all the honey the bees wouldn’t be making, a cold and misty day always made him feel sorry for them. ~A.A.Milne #fridaymorning
