Huge support for #BrumBinStrike across Oscott and Sutton Vesey wards this week... residents are telling us: 😲They're staggered that council leader LeaderofBirmingham isn't negotiating 24/7 to find a solution 😡Massive resentment that unelected commissioners may be interfering 🗳️If

How can a The Labour Party council and a Labour GOV.UK preside over these pay cuts and claim they are the party of workers? The recent local election results are a warning to Labour that the anger is becoming more widespread. The party needs to change course. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

Unite has always been clear that any and all cuts to winter fuel are simply picking the pockets of pensioners while the richest in society keep getting wealthier. The decision should be fully reversed. Money should be found by introducing a #WealthTax. channel4.com/news/pm-says-m…

Unite has, since this abhorrent policy was introduced, campaigned for the govt to reintroduce the winter fuel payment. We are looking forward to seeing the details of this potential U-turn. channel4.com/news/pm-says-m…

We are all standing with #BrumBinStrike to give a clear message to this council to settle. And warn every other council - Do NOT even think about doing this! Proud of delegates at our TUC Trades Councils conference this weekend who dug deep and donated £385 for the strike fund

Two thirds of Birmingham residents think that Bham City Council & LeaderofBirmingham have done a 'bad' or 'very bad' job of handling the bins dispute. Isn't it about time John Cotton showed up to a meeting and negotiated a fair deal?
