I did not watch the Thorin video but this is not how you conduct an inbiased journalistic research, heavy bias showing. Dont pay attention to the haters Martin Larsson, keep going strong!
When enemy support ragequits the game but your jungle somehow is even more afk and makes the game competitive... We reached D2 today though, continue the road to Master tomorrow!
Once im back to EU i want to join or make a team to practice and enhance scrims with practice tool, this is the future of league practice, anyone interested??
After getting Master on the new SEA merged server these are my conclusions:
- Diamonds are matched with Grandmasters so skill level is very mixed
-queues in Diamond+ are getting long even in peak hours
-best players from these regions still play on Korean server despite the ping
TLDR:
the server merge is a net loss for the regions, players will have much higher ping but the competition is not much better, this will hinder talent developemwnt in the long run for SEA.
The only winner is Riot cutting down on server costs
Ping really affects the mechanical skill level more than i expected, when i played on PH server on 2 ping even in lower ranks players performed mechanically but were completely clueless about any macro concepts. After the merge the mechanical level dropped significantly
Today i realised i haven't bought any clothes in the last 10 years..
The best benefit of being a league pro is actually the free swag and clothes, bonus points if you swap teams every 6 months
Back in Europe now, any ERL teams looking for a new approach to practice and looking for a coach or support my DMs are open!
Pic unrelated just sharing my strawberry shortcake
Its been a while but i have not been idle.
I will be doing an experiment starting tomorrow to answer 3 questions:
1)Can you teach an old dog new tricks? (can i coach myself to GM after all these years?)
2)Are unorthodox practice strategies effective?
3)Does age matter in esports?
