There's a lot of hard work that goes into supporting our students both during their degree and after. We've just had news that we're ranked in the top 10 in the country for graduate prospects. It's wonderful to know that so many of our grads are out there smashing it!

Good luck to all those receiving results today! It's an exciting but also very stressful time. For anyone who doesn't get what they're hoping for, please don't fret. You won't be defined by A-Level results.

Excited to teach the first class on our new MA module this evening. The module is focused on 20th and 21st Century Apocalyptic Fiction and we're starting with origin points tonight, particularly H. G. Wells and "War of the Worlds"

Want to study literature that will make you think? This week I'm teaching Camus' "The Plague" on our MA 20th and 21st Century Apocalyptic Fictions module and Le Guin's "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas" on our year 3 Utopian and Dystopian Fictions module. Love them. Can't wait!

Just signed a contract with Liverpool University Press for a book tentatively titled "Play in Utopian and Dystopian Fictions". I'm excited to work with them and to see the book come together. Much work ahead, but I have A LOT of ideas!
