Given the lack of strong evidence for traditional high dose regimens of perioperative stress dose steroids, have you changed your practice? If exogenous steroids primarily cause glucocorticoid deficiency is Dexamethasone enough? ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P… pubs.asahq.org/anesthesiology…

Thanks to Dr. Andrew Walker for a great review of ultrasound physics. The assumptions of ultrasound are violated in almost every clinical situation, and it's important to understand the artifacts created. We'll now be signing up for your remediation grade 12 physics class :)

Drs Brown & Janssen discussed techniques to prevent nerve injury during peripheral nerve block. Benefits of ultrasound in reducing vascular injury, pneumothorax and block success seem clear. Definitive reduction of nerve injury remains more elusive. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26695877

Thanks to Dr. Nemish and Dr. MacDonell (R1) for presenting regional techniques for airway management, head & neck, and eye surgery. Losing team answers an oral exam question... great way to motivate participation :) What's your recipe for awake FOI? nysora.com/techniques/hea…
