Tickets for Upton High Performing Arts KS3 Production of Alice are now available to buy on SCOPAY priced £7. There are 24 VIP seats available each night. These include a front seat with a table at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party! A selection of scrummy cakes will be provided! VIP tickets are £10.

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Iona Lewis, a Senior Buyer at Matalan, to our school. From trend-spotting to product selection, no two days are the same and her role has taken her all over the globe! A reminder that careers can open doors to amazing opportunities.

Our Year 8,9,10 and sixth form leaders helped to make sports day run smoothly. They were organised, confident and independent. Thank you for being so fabulous.

The Eco Schools Action Group have been busy looking at ways to increase biodiversity around our school grounds. They have created pollinator planters, bug hotels and hedgehog houses which have been installed throughout the school.

Year 10 Geographers spent the day at the beach in Prestatyn to investigate the success of coastal engineering. Learners measured the beach, observed longshore drift and completed surveys on the hard engineering methods present along the coastline.

Our DEI Action group held an event in June to celebrate Pride month. They sold sweets, pin badges, bracelets, scrunchies and had a photobooth & portraits. The group raised enough to make a £100 donation to Chester Pride. Thank you to our school community for supporting the event.

Year 9 watched a performance yesterday called Risking It All, performed by 2engage CIC, learning about the risks of different types of exploitation and how to keep themselves safe. Learners were praised for their exemplary behaviour and engagement in the session.

Thank you to our school community for your generosity - through your donations and a cake sale, we have raised over £900 for Midibart, a school for blind and disabled orphans in Kinchasa, Congo.

Mr Cummins would like to wish all our learners and their families a fantastic summer and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on Wednesday 3rd September.
