Walking around I noticed a lot of dime-sized holes in lawns today after a rain last night in Blacksburg. They are likely caused by green June beetle larva coming out of the saturated soil and moving about on the surface. In a month they will pupate.

Working with Alejandro Del Pozo who treated some scintillation vials for quick bioassays, Annual bluegrass weevils collected in Blacksburg, VA still appear to be susceptible to pyrethroids like bifenthrin. Red is the labeled high rate and orange is 10x dilution.
