Our Editorial in this week's JACC Journals. The #Rossprocedure shows excellent results as a redo surgery in this study by Edward Buratto et al. "Reconstructive valve surgery with the patient's own living tissue continues to be an aspirational goal for all young patients".


So truly honored and humbled to be named the inaugural Randall B. Griepp Professor in Cardiovascular Surgery today. Dr. Griepp was a true pioneer, a sublime surgeon and a passionate scientist. I hope to live up to his legacy. Congrats to my fellow awardees! Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai

In expert centers, the Ross is equally safe but provides better late outcomes than prosthetic AVR. Likewise, TAVR in 65+ as a class I LOE A based on 1 year data in patients >70y is also a misalignment.
