Why I love IR: the opportunity to use your imagination to solve problems. Embolized wire segment to left lung during surgical port placement at OSH. No free ends to snare. Did “snare loop” technique with J shape Direxion and small gooseneck snare. (1/2)

(2/2) 2 5fr caths in parallel in 60cm 10F sheath. Used reverse curve of Direxion to slip 016 wire under the bend of the target wire. Snared 016 to form loop. Retracted both 5f catheters into the sheath dragging wire segment with them. IR ingenuity for the win! UNCVIR
