Last July, I sampled soils and leaves from the subarctic, searching for microbes that could break down isoprene. After months of work, they’re finally growing in their little vials, happily shaking away. A long road, but seeing this progress makes it all worth it #uArctic_project

We start the week with breakfast #journalclub. PhD student Ida Roos Friis presented the paper Principles of #experimental #design for #ecology and #evolution, and led the discussion.

Time flies by! Our PhD student Eve Galen is nearly done with her first PhD project: #marine #microbial #volatilomes - a #phylogenetic perspective from the #baltic sea. So, today she shared her exciting results over lunch. 🙌
