Week 12 - Cadets had a great time assisting Kops for Kids with gift wrapping for 200 kids in need. Afterward, a team competition to see who can stay taped to the wall the longest. Cadets finished the day preparing for their upcoming Promotion Ceremony Vancouver Police Vancouver Police Foundation

Week 14-Cadets learned about polygraph and the importance of living an honest life. Cadets were then held to group accountability for school lates and unexcused absences from term one. The day ended with a team challenge and drill practice. Great week! Vancouver Police Vancouver Police Foundation

Week 15: Started with drill & judo, building self-confidence, discipline, teamwork & more. After lunch, Cst. Zhalovaga gave a insightful presentation on the Sex Industry & Elder Abuse. The day ended with instructors sharing speeches on what it means to be a VPD Cadet Instructor.

VPD Cadet Program had an amazing time tubing at Cypress Mountain! For some, it was their first time seeing snow, making it even more special. The day wrapped up with a lesson on how crime stats help prevent victimization and enhance public safety. Vancouver Police Vancouver Police Foundation #VPD

WEEK 18 focused on safe driving and collision avoidance. Cadets also learned about mental health and support resources. From Feb 11-28, they’re joining the 2000 Push-Up Challenge to raise mental health awareness and advocate for better support. #VPDCadets #BuildingFutureLeaders

WEEK 19: VPD Cadet Program supported Pink Shirt Day to raise awareness about bullying. 1 in 4 kids will experience bullying. The day also featured the 2,000 push-up challenge to honor suicide victims worldwide, and a presentation by the Public Safety Unit. Vancouver Police Vancouver Police Foundation

Week 21: VPD Cadet Program took the Police Officer Physical Abilities Test (POPAT) for the 2nd time. Cadets showed significant improvements in strength, endurance, and agility. The day ended with a boot polishing session and a presentation by Sgt. Parmar from VPD Recruiting. Great day!
