Mesa Visions Launch Party on Monday, June 1st! Celebrate the launch of San Diego Mesa College's literary magazine 📚 Students will read their award-winning work, and attendees will be entered into an opportunity drawing.

The #Fall2020 class schedule will be available online June 8, 2020. The fall 2020 semester will be primarily online and classes will begin August 17, 2020. Make sure you have enrolled with #SDCCD by the June 11, 2020 deadline to get an appointment for registration of classes.

All these things are essential for change. Let's be intentional about them.

Black studies and Chicano Studies all offer ENGL 101 at Mesa. In addition they offer Chicano and Black studies literature classes. Chicano literature will be taught this fall by Professor Rosi Escamilla.

Change the language that we use to communicate with students. Remove punitive, deficit language from signs, policies, vocabulary and culture.

Examine the curriculum through an equity lens. Validate students' experiences and culture. Make sure that is represented in the curriculum in a genuine way. No more token representation or stereotypes. Students bring great capital to the classroom. Let's build on that.
