Cadets and staff today were honored to be joined by family members of 1st Lt. Jimmie Monteith Jr. during their tour in Normandy. Monteith was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions during D-Day. He is one of eight Medal of Honor recipients from Virginia Tech.

We were honored yesterday to host Homer Hickam - Corps alumnus, military veteran, and author. Homer graciously donated his Vietnam uniforms to our museum and shared stories about the origins of Skipper, which has become an important symbol for all Virginia Tech Hokies. 🫡
