The sun shone on our Sports Festival today, as students took part in a wide variety of activities throughout the day. Students chose two sports to participate in during morning lessons, from options including football, rugby, netball, dodgeball, Let's Dance and Wacky Races! 1/2

Our wellbeing/mindfulness group took advantage of the warm weather last week by spending time outdoors in nature, searching for bugs. Spending time outside practising mindfulness & engaging your senses offers many benefits including reduced stress, improved mood & enhanced focus.

After a short break, our #CreativesInFocus feature has returned! Y9 Art Club have been #experimenting with #acrylic #paint, as well as learning about the importance of #bees and pollinators... 1/3

Lily B already has her own #unique style. She has produced this fantastic #bee #painting, which demonstrates her impressive abilities to create #texture in her work, to show #lighting effectively and to use #colour with great #expertise. 2/3

And Ella C has a great ability to capture #detail in her #artwork, which she has achieved excellently here with her #skilful #bee #painting. Ella has been a brilliant student this year, in both lessons and #art club. Well done to both students! 3/3

Last month, a group of students enjoyed an unforgettable trip to Paris. Students visited Château de Fontainebleau, the Musée d'Orsay, the Jardin des Tuileries, Disneyland Paris & enjoyed a boat trip along the Seine taking in landmarks including Notre Dame: vandyke.beds.sch.uk/trip-to-paris/
