Loop dynamics and the evolution of enzyme activity nature.com/articles/s4157โฆ A Review by Marina Corbella, Gaspar P. Pinto & Shina C. L. Kamerlin Caroline Lynn Kamerlin

I presented a comparison of two seemingly similar coarse-grained molecular dynamics models of a large intrinsically disordered protein. This work is part of an ongoing collab with Mikayel Aznauryan and Cameron Mackereth groups at UNI Bordeaux ๐ค

Fun times at #AMMA_MM2023 learning all things science, hunting kangaroos (๐ฆ!!) and meeting new people including Alex Holehouse and Lipi Thukral ๐ Jordan McIvor Davide Mercadante

Vanessa Ung Alex Holehouse Jordan McIvor Davide Mercadante I have a nice one too? Had a blast

Excited to share our latest preprint! First co-authoring this one with Bikash Chandra Swain and Pascale Sarkis, representing the Mercadante Group Davide Mercadante in a collaboration with Mikayel Aznauryan and Cameron Mackereth - have a read!

In this work with Jordan McIvor(!), we looked at how short vs long distance electrostatics tune the ensemble of phosphorylated NCBD. We find that empowering a switchโกbtw long & short phosphate interactions can tune binding-competent NCBD conformations..๐pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acโฆ

Thanks to all authors and particularly the spear-headers Bikash Chandra Swain Pascale Sarkis and Vanessa Ung

This work also involved an exciting and time-zone spanning collaboration with Davide Mercadante and Vanessa Ung from the University of Auckland, which introduced me to many aspects of coarse-grained molecular simulation, and I look forward to the next steps!

Bikash Chandra Swain, Pascale Sarkis, Vanessa Ung, Davide Mercadante, Cameron Mackereth and Mikayel Aznauryan reveal how the intrinsically disordered region of eIF4B governs its transition from monomers to oligomers and condensed droplets. nature.com/articles/s4146โฆ
