Something I notice on social media is the when a white man talks against sexism or racism, they get much more support and interaction than if someone who actually experiences it gets when they call it out. Seen it so many times in our ag sector. Another example of marginalisation

Being a vet isn't always the easiest job. Every possible screw is being tightened around us atm resulting in our working day getting even harder! But yesterday I felt like I made a real difference to pets & their owner's lives. It was a good day! May there be many more good days!

One mistake vet and ag organisations make with DE&I is that they feel that visible diversity is enough and they think it means that the barriers have been broken but fail to understand the equity and inclusion part is also fundamental to creating a space where everyone belongs.

We also say goodbye to RCVS Treasurer and past President Dr Niall Connell Niall Connell FRCVS who also retires from #RCVSCouncil today. Niall was thanked for his tireless dedication, including his kind and empathetic leadership throughout the pandemic and his commitment to EDI.

When so called “regenerative farming experts” now start blaming indigenous populations for biodiversity loss. Give me a break. They really do show their true colours! That’s why this area needs decolonisation of thought and process! 🙄🤦🏾‍♂️
