More than 185,000 cubic metres of earth have been excavated for our Arcadia native fish hatchery expansion! Better yet – all soil remained on site, reused in dam wall construction, and for sealing our 80 new ponds using the hatchery’s high-quality subsurface clay.

Thanks to your fishing licence fees, the Torquay Angling Club has secured a grant to build a new fish cleaning table at Fisherman’s Beach! Construction of the second fish cleaning table should start around the end of April - stay tuned!

Construction has begun at Snobs on a Macquarie Perch Recovery Centre to bring ā€˜Maccas’ back to their former glory. The centre will produce up to 500,000 Maccas a year to restore wild populations, which were once prevalent across northern Victoria.

A groundbreaking project has begun at our Snobs Creek site – our Macquarie Perch Recovery Centre! The new build will produce up to 500,000 Maccas AND 500,000 trout cod annually, and will be ready for production by the end of 2025 šŸ› ļø
