It was a pleasure to co-organize symposium #EN01 #F24MRS Materials Research Society (MRS) with Ludmilla Steier and Rafael Jaramillo DMSE at MIT! Many excellent contributions on #fundamental #material characterization, solar fuel #scalability, and strong synergies with the #PV community! ☀️

This paper was hard to draft, as an Horizon Europe 🇪🇺 Prize would have made all the difference for our team of early career researchers. Here is the story of our efforts and challenges encountered in #artificial leaf upscaling 🌦️ pubs.rsc.org/en/Content/Art… #solar #EESJournal RSC Energy Journals

This project is a true demonstration of team effort. Complementary skills to make real-life impact directly from pure research. Great memories of those crazy days working with everyone involved. And huge thanks to StranksLab that adapted to limited equipment access for weeks!

Congratulations to Virgil Andrei, St John's Research Fellow, who led the team of scientists that attached tiny copper 'nano-flowers' to an artificial leaf to produce clean fuels and chemicals - the backbone of modern energy and manufacturing 👏☀️🍃🌻 joh.cam.ac.uk/tiny-copper-fl…

Check out Virgil Andrei and Inwhan's latest work on #perovskite-driven #solar C2 hydrocarbon synthesis from CO2 in Nature Catalysis! nature.com/articles/s4192…

Alumnus Virgil Andrei led the team of scientists who attached #copper #nanoflowers to an artificial leaf to produce #hydrocarbons, in a process powered solely by the sun. These molecules are key building blocks for liquid fuels, chemicals and plastics 👉bit.ly/42FQj0A

Tiny copper ‘flowers’ on an artificial leaf could help to create clean fuels and chemicals using just sunlight ☀️ Read more about this study by researchers at Cambridge Chemistry and @UOfCalifornia 👇 cam.ac.uk/research/news/…

New from Kavli Energy NanoScience Institute (ENSI) and colleagues: Copper nanoflowers enable solar-driven hydrocarbon synthesis from waste and sunlight! A step toward sustainable fuels and chemicals. #Perovskite #Sustainability #GreenChemistry #KavliNano

First author Virgil Andrei has a blog post on Springer Nature describing the story behind the science -- and his research visit to collaborate with Kavli Energy NanoScience Institute (ENSI) and Yang Group - UC Berkeley. communities.springernature.com/posts/copper-n…

A deep dive into #perovskites and #OPV-powered #photoelectrochemical cells by Virgil Andrei and celineyeung presenting at the Royal Society of Chemistry Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Symposium at UCL☀️⚡️ Congrats to Virgil Andrei for winning the best oral talk prize🗣️👏👏

It was great to showcase our latest work on #perovskite photoelectrocatalysis for solar-driven chemistry during the RSC__CNN Early Career Symposium at UCL Chemistry! Thank you to Dr Adam J Clancy and all organizers! ☀️ Yang Group - UC Berkeley Reisner Lab Cambridge Chemistry Energy IRC
