julian williams of Vista PEAK Basketball played well despite the loss. He got to his spots on the floor, finished through contact and pushed the pace. Very aggressive guard that scored with ease. Finished with 26 points and some good reads.

Blessed to say I had a opportunity to show off the hard work I’ve put in, in a Colorado live event here’s highlights from the event 💪🏽

We lost 9 players from last year’s 6A playoff team, and julian williams has stepped up, big time. He gets everyone involved + organized, shares the ball, and is very coachable. He had 39 points in a quarterfinal game up at UNC camp a month ago. So proud of him! Only the beginning.

Our Vista PEAK Basketball Camp this past week was a lot of fun. A big thank you to all of our coaches & players who helped to make this happen and their work with our future Bison! #CŦC | #APlayersProgram | #HornsUp🦬

We play some form of 1v1 every day, and this is one of our favorites: Guard the ball sideline to lane line extended full court, baseline to baseline. At the other end, the number of times you turned the ball handler is the amount of dribbles you get on the catch attacking 1v1.

A staple of ours, “Buffalo 1v1”, a drill we adapted from Nate Oats. Defender starts at HC with his back to his partner, and can’t move until a coach passes the ball to the offense who is sprinting up the court. This simulates a transition pitch-ahead for both offense & defense.

The 2025-26 season is nearly upon us, and we need help to get our kids new uniforms, gear, team meals, and take them to the Tarkanian Classic for the first time! We greatly appreciate any contribution to provide our kids with a special experience. #CŦC app.schoolfundr.org/fund/vista-pea…

We work on some sort of live finishing every day, to replicate game-like situations. This one, 1v1 Helpside, works both offense & defense. Both players start on the lane lines, defense moves when offense goes. Both must circle cones, defense tries to get chest in front of ball.

2v1/3v2 shooting: Offense can’t move or cut, they have as many passes as there are defenders. Make it, take it. We feel it is important to incorporate contested shooting, as it better simulates game conditions & pressure. Also helps defense anticipate and make game-like reads.

Part of our transition series, “Texas 4v4” 3 defenders across HC with a chaser on the baseline, 3 offense across FT line extended + one in a corner down the floor. Defense passes to offense and it’s live. We usually do a 7-second shot clock on the way back, or 10-secs for both.
