I try to focus on the positive. It's clear to me that AI tools will not displace the need for human musicians, but they will augment the capabilities of human artists. I then shared the real time (!) version of my singing voice created with Voctro Labs Identity Play is real!

This video gives me chills, MARIA ARNAL and Tarta Relena are three vocalists with four microphones. The fourth microphone is my voice, and I can clearly make out my personal timbre amongst the chorus. 🤯🦾❤️‍🔥

To fully test the model I asked Mat Dryhurst to sing a song we co-wrote in my voice, through my usual vocal production chain. It works! He is me!🤯 We chose SWIM because it worked with his range, but it also stands for "Someone Who Isn't Me", which is a nice coincidence 👩‍❤️‍👨

This is a dream come true, I've been trying to get real time vocal transfer working since we began writing PROTO in 2016, and I hope these songs show that there is a lot to be excited about AI augmented art if we don't focus on dull horror stories about automated muzak. 😘🦾🪄
