MSJ wins its 8th straight to start the season, sweeping the Dons 25-9, 25-11, and 25-13. Big attacking games from Fredrickson (15 kills, 5 aces), McWhite (6 kills on 7 attempts) and Lesho (8 kills) along with 20 assists from Leach and a huge back row effort from Baehr.

The Gaels are 8-0, alone atop the MIAA, and have won 24 consecutive sets to start a terrific 2023 campaign. Thanks to MSJ Student Section for a great showing in the Smith Center tonight!

A dominating performance by MSJ tonight, defeating Curley 25-2, 25-9, 25-14 to win their 27th straight set to open the season at a perfect 9-0. The Gaels converted 32 of their 45 attacks for kills led by right sides Gabe McWhite and Gregor Lesho. Leach had 4 aces in the win.

MSJ improves to 11-0 with a win over 2nd place Spalding in front of an excellent crowd in the Smith Center. Great effort tonight by Roger Fredrickson, Greg Baehr, and setters Lesho and Leach. MSJ travels to Calvert Hall on Friday.

The volleyball Gaels are 12-0! A clean sweep at Calvert Hall tonight keeps MSJ on top of the MIAA. The team is on the road next week at St. Paul’s on Tuesday and John Carroll on Thursday.

Lucky number 13! The Gaels sweep St. Paul’s on the road to improve to 13-0. Aidan Chairs had 7 kills & 6 aces, Gabe McWhite had 4 kills & 6 aces, & Robby Mannino had 3 kills and 3 aces. 9 MSJ players recorded multiple kills in the match.

The Gaels sweep the Lakers and are 16-0 with two matches left in the regular season! Senior night on Monday vs Curley.

MSJ completes the regular season with a 3-0 win over Loyola. Lots of work left to do! Come out and watch the Gaels play in a home semifinal match next Wednesday at 4:00pm in the Smith Center.

🏆🏆🏆An incredible season ended perfectly tonight. The Gaels finished an undefeated season with a 60-3 record in sets played. They’ve won 38 straight matches since last September. Of their 20 wins this season, 18 were sweeps!

Congrats to Coach Clatchey – one of the greatest high school basketball coaches of all time! His ability to continue to adapt has allowed him to build and maintain a successful program that competes and wins the highest level. Many more wins in the future!
