Don't forget to submit your poster abstract for the 17th annual Tri-Institutional Chemical Biology Symposium! The deadline to submit an abstract is THIS FRIDAY, Aug 13th. Register here (it's free!): chembio.triiprograms.org/publications-n… Submit your abstract here: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI…

Amazing talk by TPCB student Lauren Vostal from Rockefeller University Kapoor lab at NYAS chemical biology discussion group year-end symposium today.

Join us for our Tri-Institutional Chemical Biology Symposium on September 8th! Keynotes by Angela Koehler, Scheuring Lab, @LabPinkett, and Matthew Bogyo! Registration required, poster abstract deadline is Wednesday 8/31. Register for free: bit.ly/TPCB2022 #tpcbsymposium

Adi Berman, a TPCB student in Dr. Tarun Kapoor’s lab, is up next! #tpcbsymposium #microtubule Adi Berman

The Mickolajczyk Lab Rutgers - RWJMS Office for Research is hiring! We are looking for both a postdoc and a research specialist to join us in using single-molecule techniques to study ATPase motor proteins in ribosome biogenesis. Please RT and share! jobs.rutgers.edu/postings/185185 jobs.rutgers.edu/postings/185189

Congratulations to Adi Berman on her successful thesis defense! As per lab tradition, we made her a balloon hat to represent her work on the g-TURC. Best of luck in your future endeavors, Adi!

We are excited to share our latest preprint on bioRxiv: biorxiv.org/content/10.110… Graduate student Jared Ramsey led this collaborative effort in which we identify covalent allosteric inhibitors for helicases, enzymes notoriously difficult to selectively target.

đź‘€ Preview of Nguyen et al: Fine-tuning chemical genetics to identify physiologic drug targets by Lauren Vostal and Tarun M. Kapoor at Rockefeller University TPCB dlvr.it/Syyxx7

Super excited to see my most recent work (and first paper!) from the Kapoor Lab online J. Am. Chem. Soc.! By taking advantage of electrophilic 'scout fragments', we identify allosteric inhibitors of helicases, enzymes that have been challenging to target. pubs.acs.org/doi/epdf/10.10…

We are pleased to share our latest preprint on bioRxiv! Led by graduate student Lauren Vostal, we use chemical proteomics to profile VCP-DUB interactions in living cells. We identify DUBs that bind the entry, exit, or both sites of VCP's central pore. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Vostal et al Kapoor Lab Rockefeller University report two structures of complexes formed by VCP, an unfoldase, & VCPIP1, a deubiquitinase, & suggest that VCPIP1 is poised to cleave #ubiquitin from protein substrates that translocate through VCP’s central pore hubs.la/Q03bV3G00

Structural insights into the coupling between VCP, an essential unfoldase, and a deubiquitinase. New study from Lauren Vostal, Tarun Kapoor Kapoor Lab and colleagues Rockefeller University: hubs.la/Q03bVk850 #StructuralBiology #Biochemistry #ProteinHomeostasis #CryoEM
