Big day in San Marcos CISD! We broke ground on the new Mendez Elementary campus—a huge win for our students & families. It’s also Signing Day! Proud of all grads, especially the record group headed to Texas State University. This is town-and-gown at its best. Eat ’Em Up, Cats!

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. Grateful to play a small part as a trustee and thankful for Dr. Cardona’s leadership! When we raise the bar and give kids the support they need, they rise to meet it every time.

On May 19, #SMCISD held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new Felipe Reyna Administration Building—a proud moment honoring Mr. Reyna’s legacy and celebrating the future of our district! Thank you to San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce & community members in attendance for this historical event!

This morning, San Marcos High School seniors took their final walk through our flagship campus. Parents, teachers, and community members lined the halls in purple and white to cheer them on.

They told us they’d never fence people out of the river but they are going to do it eventually. Controlling access is the first step to denying access. #SMTX
