Pretty ridiculous that schools in Noida are still online due to the weather. Need a new notification asap from the DM G.B. Nagar/NOIDA to clarify that schools can open. It has been two weeks. We cannot be shutting schools for so long because of cold! CEO, NOIDA Authority

I also found his joke extremely offensive. But to use / threaten to use the power of the state against offensive speech is bad for society as a whole. Use the market place of ideas to criticise the speech, but don’t start criminal cases based on this

Anganwadi workers in Chhattisgarh will be on strike tomorrow. Reason? Digital tyranny in the distribution of take-home rations (THR), now conditional on Aadhaar, recipient OTP, photo uploading, etc. AWWs are threatened with salary cuts if they fail.

Here's a lovely recent piece by Shivani Naik on Satwik's father Kasi Viswanatham. The point she makes about the courage and humility it took to allow his son to pursue doubles as a career when it wasn't all that glamorous in Indian badminton... indianexpress.com/article/sports…

Had a great panel discussion at NALSAR University of Law’s Conference on Courts and the Constitution on the intersection of Tech and the Constitution. Contextualised the debate in terms of the impact on privacy (surveillance) and free speech (intermediary liability)

Wild story in the WSJ. It’s paywalled so I’ll screenshot some key excerpts below. But basically it’s about how Mark Zuckerberg spent millions trying to suck up to Trump so Meta only had to pay $450M (instead of $30B that the FTC wanted) to settle an antitrust case against them.
