Director NCTC led Kenya's delegation to the ongoing Third UN High Level Conference on Counter Terrorism. The conference seeks to address the threat of terrorism through reinvigorating multilateralism and institutional cooperation.

The director highlighted Kenya's PCVE Model, which devolved PCVE Solutions to realize sustained local-level impact through inclusive community-owned and driven interventions.

She expressed concern that terrorism poses a substantial threat to the contemporary state, destabilizing political, security, economic, and social mechanisms. The impacts are especially severe when institutions are weak or fragile.

She also observed that this evolving threat is not only spreading rapidly but also defying even the most innovative countermeasures that member states have instituted over the years.

Kenya proffered a comprehensive approach to counterterrorism aligned with the SDGs, the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy, and global governance reforms.
