A huge congratulations to co-head of our Leukaemia Translational Research team Rishi Kotecha on his recent promotion to Professor at Curtin University! Professor Kotecha is a clinician-scientist working to find more effective treatments and improve outcomes for children with leukaemia.

Dr Francois Rwandamuriye has won the Raine Foundation Research Prize for a cancer-fighting gel that uses immunotherapy to prevent recurrence after surgery. PhD student Cenxi Gao has joined the team to research how dsRNA, a molecule that can fight cancer, might help strengthen immunotherapy and vaccines by boosting the immune system against cancer. Cenxi says the Centre’s world-leading research is a perfect fit for her studies.
