Shortly after 1 PM, WCFR responded to a 20+ acre brush fire on Cook Rd in the Oak Grove community, north of Darlington. Crews worked alongside Florida Forest Service to bring the fire under control. Fire is extinguished. FFS now plowing containment lines to prevent any further spread.

TRAFFIC CRASH BLOCKING NORTHBOUND 331 S NEAR WAGON WHEEL ROAD IN DEFUNIAK SPRINGS Walton Co. Sheriff is on scene of a multi-vehicle crash that is blocking both northbound lanes of 331 S just north of Wagon Wheel Road. Drivers are asked to use caution and expect delays in the area.

Just after 8 AM, WCFR, Argyle VFD, & DFS FD responded to a motorhome fire on Ponderosa Trail. Crews arrived to find the vehicle fully engulfed. The owner had just returned from walking his dog & saw smoke. FFs quickly contained the blaze. No injuries. Cause remains unknown.
