βοΈπ PUMPKIN SEASON πβοΈ Inmate work release crews at the Worcester County Sheriff's Office harvested the first pumpkins of the fall season. These pumpkins will be distributed to senior centers, schools, and many other organizations throughout the county.

Last weekend, the Worcester County Sheriff's Office Team competed in the Officer Ronald Tarentino Jr. Annual Softball Tournament to support the Officer Ronald Tarentino, Jr. Charitable Fund. π₯π₯π₯
This past week, the Worcester County Sheriff's Office Community Support Center partnered with Wardrobe On Wheels to provide center clients and community members with the opportunity to shop at a "pop-up" clothing shop. πππ§₯ Clothing was provided free of charge to those shopping! π

ππ Recovery Rocks the Park ππ Earlier this month, the Worcester County Sheriff's Office participated in Fitchburg's Recovery Rocks the Park event. This gathering is dedicated to celebrating recovery with friends, family, and the community.
Week #3 is in the rearview mirror for the recruits of the B.R.T.A. #64! π¨π¨π¨ This week, the Worcester County Sheriff's Office recruits were introduced to defensive tactics, use of force, de-escalation, and duty to intervene, amongst many other topics.
That's a wrap on week 4 for the recruits of the Worcester County Sheriff's Office B.R.T.A. #64! π¨π¨ Recruits spent several days learning ground defense. They concluded the week with instruction on firearms and firearm safety. Four weeks down, nine more weeks to go!
π Carving out some fun this October! π We distributed the last of the pumpkins grown on the Worcester County Sheriff's Office Inmate Run Organic Farm. We are blessed to have the opportunity to give back to the communities we serve through the farm program.
Staff Therapy K9 Milo took a break from Worcester County Sheriff's Office today and visited the Worcester Senior Center. Milo and Officer McNamara interacted with seniors in the Respite Program, which is for individuals in the early stages of dementia. Milo was a hit with the group! πΎπΎπΎ
We are happy to support the Worcester County Sheriff's Office and Worcester County Reserve Deputy Sheriff's Association's annual Winter Coat Drive! Each year, they distribute hundreds of winter coats to community members across the county. Thank you for keeping our community warm and cared for.

Week 6 for Worcester County Sheriff's Office B.R.T.A. #64! πͺ The recruits participated in further on-the-job training to better understand the daily operations of the jail. In the classroom, they covered many topics. The week was physically & mentally demanding, but the recruits pushed through!
Week #7 has concluded for Worcester County Sheriff's Office B.R.T.A. #64! This week, recruits received essential CPR and First Responder training. They practiced hands-on techniques for rescue breathing for all ages and learned critical skills for emergency situations. Seven weeks down, six weeks to go!
Staff Therapy K9 Milo has been hard at work, recently visiting the Worcester County Sheriff's Office Worcester Community Support Center on Main Street. Milo also made an appearance at Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center to complete training hours for his various therapy dog certifications. πΎ
