A busy day on the diamond in Fargo yesterday, here are some highlight clips from Newman Outdoor Field and the opening day of the Class B baseball tournament. Park River is moving on to the semifinals after a 10-0 run rule win over Rugby.

Second seeded Thompson Tommie Baseball knocked off Renville County 9-1, Tommies are into the semifinals later today. They'll face Northern Cass in what should be a great matchup.

Northern Cass standout Trey Husar was spectacular again yesterday, the Jaguars beat Bishop Ryan 7-0. Jags will face Thompson at 4:30 later today on WDAY Xtra.

LaMoure-Litchville-Marion exploded for 18 runs in the final game of the day, Loboes beat Shiloh Christian 18-1. L-L-M vs Park River in the second semifinal at 7pm on Xtra.

From the softball diamond, Hillsboro-Central Valley hit three home runs to cruise past Velva-Drake-Anamoose, 15-3. Burros will get Des-Lacs Burlington in the first Class B semifinal at 4pm.

Central Cass showed why they are the number one seed in Class B softball. The Squirrels routed Carrington 17-0 in five innings to move on to the semifinals to face Beulah.

Beulah got an outstanding pitching performance from Addie Dale-Geiger and just enough offense to knock off Bottineau, 3-1. The Miners will face Central Cass tonight at 6 on WDAY2.

Des-Lacs Burlington rolled into the semifinals with a 5-2 win over May-Port-C-G. Pitcher Sierra Yale was tremendous, the Lakers will get Hillsboro-Central Valley in semis at 4 on WDAY2.

LaMoure-Litchville-Marion is off to the Class B baseball title game for the fourth time in five years. The Loboes knocked off top ranked Park River 7-4. They will face Thompson Saturday at 7 on WDAY Xtra.

In Class B softball, Des Lacs-Burlington is in the title game for the first time since 2018. The Lakers scored 12 unanswered runs to knock off Hillsboro-Central Valley, 13-4. DLB-LC Softball

A crazy sports Saturday is in the books on WDAY Xtra. Here's a quick recap, starting with Class A softball as Williston won its first championship, with a 3-2 victory over Red River. Alana Thomas pitched a three-hitter in leading the Coyotes to the championship.

For the fourth time in five years, Sheyenne Mustangs Baseball is on top in Class A baseball. The Mustangs held off Minot, 6-5 to win the title. An amazing run by Sheyenne, who came into the EDC Tournament as the number 7 seed.

The mission was completed this afternoon by Squirrel Softball. After falling in the state title game last year, the Squirrels get some redemption with a 4-1 win over Des Lacs-Burlington. It's the seventh state softball title for Central Cass.

A dynasty continued tonight at Newman Outdoor Field as Thompson Tommie Baseball won a fourth straight Class B baseball crown, knocking off L-L-M, 10-7. The Tommies entered state as the three seed and leave again as the state champions.
