From the softball diamond, Hillsboro-Central Valley hit three home runs to cruise past Velva-Drake-Anamoose, 15-3. Burros will get Des-Lacs Burlington in the first Class B semifinal at 4pm.

Central Cass showed why they are the number one seed in Class B softball. The Squirrels routed Carrington 17-0 in five innings to move on to the semifinals to face Beulah.

A crazy sports Saturday is in the books on WDAY Xtra. Here's a quick recap, starting with Class A softball as Williston won its first championship, with a 3-2 victory over Red River. Alana Thomas pitched a three-hitter in leading the Coyotes to the championship.

For the fourth time in five years, Sheyenne Mustangs Baseball is on top in Class A baseball. The Mustangs held off Minot, 6-5 to win the title. An amazing run by Sheyenne, who came into the EDC Tournament as the number 7 seed.

The mission was completed this afternoon by Squirrel Softball. After falling in the state title game last year, the Squirrels get some redemption with a 4-1 win over Des Lacs-Burlington. It's the seventh state softball title for Central Cass.
