The Clydebank Waterfront ward by-election count is underway! Returning Officer Peter Hessett has opened the count at Clydebank Leisure Centre with postal votes now being verified. Further updates will follow...

The ballot boxes have started arriving from the five polling stations across Clydebank Waterfront ward!

The verification stage has now concluded. The total number of votes received was 2,954. This is a 25.3% turnout of the 11,657 eligible electorate.

Stage 6 results - of 167 available votes, 58 were non transferrable. Results as follows: Kevin Crawford - Scottish National Party (SNP): 1123 Maureen McGlinchey - Scottish Labour Party: 822 David Smith - Reform UK: 840 Maureen McGlinchey is excluded at this stage.

The final results are in and Kevin Crawford has been elected as the new Councillor representing the Clydebank Waterfront ward. Councillor Crawford was elected at stage seven having received 1331 votes.
