The Regional Secretariats Committee held a meeting with the WFD Regional Directors, representing our 8 Regional Secretariats, to discuss ongoing initiatives and strengthen regional cooperation. We reaffirm our commitment to promoting and protecting the rights of deaf communities

Last week, the 137th WFD Board meeting took place online. The Board reviewed the progress of the Action Plan, exchanged views with the WFDYS President, and voted on key resolutions. The next meeting will be held in Kenya in August, ahead of the 5th WFD Conference.

#COSP18 WFD President made a 6minutes speech at the 18th session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

The #COSP18 is a key moment to connect with government representatives and NGOs from around the world. 🌐 🤝 These meetings help us raise awareness about deaf rights, promote national sign languages, and build strong partnerships.

We celebrate this new recognition of deafblind people who are part of deaf communities around the world. The WFD has supported the hard advocacy work of the The World Federation of the Deafblind (WFDB) (WFDB).
