Before the war, Alla worked in an orphanage for children with special needs. When the war began, she knew she had to do more to help. Through World Food Programme’s partnership with The HALO Trust, deminers like Alla are clearing farmland of landmines helping farmers safely return to their lives.

A ceasefire in Gaza brings hope that families can begin to rebuild their lives, children can return to school, and people can access the food they desperately need. It is only the start – not the end – of what’s needed to reach hungry families across Gaza.
