Some of you may already be aware that the Anti-Racism Action Collective, of which I am a part of, have submitted a letter to the RCSLT outlining concerns with the RCSLT leadership and its association with far-right ideology following recent events. 1/9

This is currently under investigation and we are awaiting a formal response/outcome. Feel free to reach out if you would like to see this letter, I am a Twitter dinosaur and can't figure how to share it properly (lol) 2/9

This has been a deeply concerning and unsettling revelation at a time of civil unrest and has raised questions regarding the RCSLT's commitment to anti-racism, as outlined in their recently updated anti-racism statement. 3/9

For me, it has made me angry and ashamed to be associated with the anti-racism work of the RCSLT and sickened that my labour has been exploited to further an agenda that is yet to progress from words to actions. 4/9

For years we have talked about anti-racism as being an action and yet we continue to drown in a puddle of EDI agendas and the white tears of "allies". 5/9

Sidenote: The silence in communities does not go unnoticed and your silence is complicity. 6/9

The only thing I know and hold onto is that institutions must be held to account, regardless of the individual impact or consequence. This is so much bigger than us as individuals, but as a collective we are stronger. 7/9
