In her remarks, WHOMalawi Rep Dr. Neema Rusibamayila Kimambo stated that prevention is better than cure & achieves healthier outcomes for all. Citing that community engagement, awareness & education has promoted handwashing, mask-wearing, vaccine intake & has controlled diseases like #polio in 🇲🇼

The highlight of the Health Promotion Conference was when Ministry of Health, Malawi Hon Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda MP accompanied by WHOMalawi Dr. Neema Rusibamayila Kimambo interacted with the youth live on "Youth Alert" Family Health Services radio programme, a life skills programme designed to prevent STI's and unwanted pregnancies.

The ongoing measles campaign, is running until 6th June in Lilongwe, Nkhotakota, Salima, Blantyre, Ntcheu, & Mangochi 🇲🇼. The campaign will raise awareness about measles symptoms, such as facial rash, red itchy eyes, & runny nose, & encourage prompt medical attention.

She reiterated Ministry of Health, Malawi's commitment to strengthening routine immunization services & reaching every child, especially in hard-to-reach areas.
