Experts from World Health Organization (WHO) were honored to have a debriefing session with Pakistan’s Minister of Health to discuss the last WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean mission key findings and recommendations for scaling up primary health care and integrating immunization efforts to achieve #SDG3 #HealthForAll.


.WHO Pakistan, the Government of Pakistan, authorities from provinces and regions, and partners started the activities of the Pandemic Fund by discussing the creation of ONE Health Units to strengthening pandemic prevention, preparedness and response to be ready & save lives.

Every 10 seconds, vaccine saves a life. Today, WHO Pakistan was proud to join hands with Pakistan and partners to launch the Big-Catch-Up III to deliver life-saving vaccines to children who missed routine doses due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2022 floods, or for other reasons.


Did you know? WHO Pakistan, in 2024, has provided 3 million medical items, including medicines, equipment, food supplements and vaccine carriers, among others, to support the Government of Pakistan in delivering #HealhForAll #SDG3.

.World Health Organization (WHO) is working across the country with the Government of Pakistan & partners to implement the Big-Catch-Up Round 3 & vaccinate children that missed their doses due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2022 floods, or other reasons. 2.8 million children were vaccinated in the last two rounds.


.WHO Pakistan Representative, Dr Dapeng Luo, was honoured to meet H.E. Ambassador Ali bin Mubarak Al Khater from Qatar to discuss ongoing and future collaboration, and to acknowledge Qatar’s leadership in supporting global and regional public health goals.





.WHO Pakistan warehouse team provides year-round support to Pakistan health systems by delivering essential medical supplies. In 2024, more than 3 million items were delivered across the country to reach the most vulnerable.


It was a privilege to attend the National Task Force Meeting on polio, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Pakistan has made meaningful progress toward zero polio, but challenges remain. It was reassuring to see such strong political and administrative commitment at all


I met with Chief Minister KP and the health leadership in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to discuss sustaining momentum against polio in the Peshawar bloc, integrating with EPI to reach zero-dose children, and improving access and campaign quality in south KP. I commend the Chief


It always inspires me to see our WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean polio health workers on the frontlines wading rivers, navigating crossings, and braving all kinds of challenges to reach every child with polio drops. We must do all we can to support their endeavors to #EndPolio.

.World Health Organization (WHO) trained over 100 healthcare professionals & educators in Charsadda & Kotli districts on early detection of children's health issues in Pakistan. Under World Health Organization (WHO)’s School Health Program, more than 8,000 primary school children will be screened in these districts.
