Today, Jarno Habicht & WHO team hosted a strategic session with Viktor Liashko & Ministry of Health of Ukraine deputy ministers to discuss 2025 priorities for cooperation, Ukraine’s health needs, WHO support for war response, recovery & reforms, and Ukraine's🇺🇦 involvement into EPW2 development


.WHO Ukraine & MFA of Ukraine 🇺🇦 hosted a diplomatic briefing in Kyiv, where WHO shared its experience in supporting 🇺🇦health system amid the war, with a focus on response, recovery & reforms. Ukraine’s role in WHO governing bodies & involvement in EPW2 development were also discussed


To support Hospitals No. 16 and No. 2 in Kryvyi Rih in responding to the attack on Friday, which resulted in 18 deaths and 60 injuries, World Health Organization (WHO) provided Trauma Emergency Surgical Kits for performing up to 100 surgical interventions. Our condolences to Ukrainians.

.World Health Organization (WHO) Health Cluster workshop in Kyiv unites health departments from 10 frontline regions and Cluster participants, incl. NGOs & UN agencies, to strengthen health emergency response. Since the war began, the Health Cluster has supported over 24.4 million people.




After yesterday’s attack in Sumy, as people gathered for Palm Sunday, World Health Organization (WHO) delivered trauma & emergency supplies to 3 hospitals - support for up to 150 surgeries. 117 were wounded, incl. 15 children. 34 killed, among them two children. Our hearts are with Ukrainians.


On 14-16 April, WHO hosted a facilitators’ training on all-hazard risk assessment using the WHO STAR toolkit w/Посольство Німеччини support. 20 experts from diverse sectors learned to apply strategic risk assessment approaches to enhance emergency preparedness & response in Ukraine🇺🇦


Following the attacks on Dnipro that caused deaths and injuries, World Health Organization (WHO) delivered 6 Trauma Emergency Surgical Kits to two key hospitals treating the injured. We stand with the people of Ukraine and remain committed to responding swiftly, as in Sumy and Kryvyi Rih.


On April 22, WHO, Ministry of Health of Ukraine & partners held a roundtable in Cherkasy to plan further implementation of the cervical cancer screening project in the oblast w/EU in Ukraine support. The project aims to improve early diagnosis of cervical cancer & improve access to care
