These moments of reflection, emotion & solidarity are not just soothing,they’re protective. Because defending rights starts with caring for those who defend.


On 19/06/2025, at France in Uganda 🇫🇷🇺🇬, our ED , Brenda Kugonza joined an engaging discussion on gender equality, women’s empowerment, and feminist policy approaches.Women Human Rights Defenders Network- Uganda shared insights and contributions to advance feminist values.


As we approach 26 June 2025, the UN Day in Support of Torture Survivors, we call on the public,Women Human Rights Defenders Network- Uganda,@ACTVUganda, @ChapterFourUG & @UHRC_Uganda to stand against torture, especially as Uganda heads into General Elections.Stop Torture. Protect Rights.


Thank you National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) for inviting Women Human Rights Defenders Network- Uganda to join environmental women defenders and other activists in Kabale District on June 25, 2025, to mark World Environment Day under the theme “United Against Plastic Pollution.” Together, we stand for a cleaner, greener future.
