FFG is really low, coupled with high PWATS - big issues with rainfall rates and flooding today. DCAPE is already pointing at Winchester north for wind hazard stretched back through WV and the Alleghenies this afternoon.

Expanded to include Hardy and Rockingham Counties - no surprise given the trends of short range guidance.

Weekend will be wonderful, just have to get there. Flash flood threat already setting up.

Showers and storms have fired, more are expected for the afternoon to about 8-10pm. Locally, 1-3" of heavy rain is possible, 3-4"+ in any worst case scenario if a storms stall. Strong, gusty wind also possible for northern areas. Stay weather alert today!

Happy Fri-YA! Low clouds and patchy fog early this morning, but we do have a light breeze. If the breeze continues, we'll be good to go but watching closely. A few showers across the region with a quick downpour or two since our front isn't here yet - weekend looks great still!

Looking much better today with cooler temperatures, even through it's still a bit humid. Few showers today off and on, but keep any outdoor plans - weekend looks perfect too!

Lower humidity today with temperatures in the 60s & 70s. Only a few showers at times, nothing widespread. Lows tonight in the upper 50s to low 60s. A mix of sun and clouds this weekend with highs in the 70s, lows in the 50s and great for anything outdoors!

A real treat for August 1st and with these clouds, you won't get much rise for the day. Another 4-7 degrees, but early-September feels are here today!
