Yesterday, WFBF President Brad Olson and the governmental relations team spent the day at the state Capitol meeting with legislators. They were able to speak with Representative Clint Moses about budget and legislative priorities, including ARIP and Farm Bureau Health Plans.

The investments made in the budget proposal passed by the Joint Finance Committee today reflect the strength of WI’s $116 billion ag economy, which supports 1 in 9 jobs. As the budget reaches its final stages, it’s essential that this commitment to agriculture is maintained.

WFBF and the WI Ag Coalition have worked to ensure key agricultural priorities - like rural roads, conservation and mental health - have continued support in the state budget. Today’s proposal reflects the importance of keeping these programs strong and moving forward.
