Qualifications Wales has confirmed that the fresh start rule will be lifted for centres cashing in GCSE English Literature in summer 2021. Centres can use the best Unit 1 grade from January 2020, January 2021 or summer 2021 at cash in.

We are waiting for clarification from Qualification Wales re if the GCSE Eng Lit Unit 1 exam in January 2021 will go ahead. We appreciate that centres and candidates are keen to have clarification. We are working with the regulators to get a definitive answer as soon as possible.
