I made time to listen to one of our staff nurses today during my busy round. A sad conversation but ended on a positive note with a hug. The nurse later put a box of celebrations on my desk saying thank you. Flagging this to add being a compassionate Leader is needed more now.

I was summoned to one of our wards. Then I was greeted by the lovely DRShah smiling…she is our CoE Consultant who brought a bit of Christmas. The food was a great surprise and so nice to see all the smiling faces😊🙏💕

Reflections on Music. I was so fortunate to see our music therapist on the wards playing his guitar and singing. Pure joy on faces of our patients with dementia. Our Therapist Heathlands Village had wonderful engagement /c patients in a music & movement group. Music is powerful.👍💕

Today is a day we can show and receive Love. We can show our patients love by providing good and safe care. And to each other by showing civility and kindness at work. Hope you feel loved.😊💕

We said goodbye to a lovely Compassionate Leader yesterday. She has worked in Frimley health for 36years in many roles but ended in the HoN role. Personally she was a support to me, “ok babes” She will be sorely missed by the Trust, her teams &me. Enjoy your retirement Mena👋😘
